Thailand

The island country has often been described as an emerald isle. For people who love seafood Sri Lanka is the place to go to. Colombo, the country’s capital attracts most tourists. A major attraction is the Pettah market, Colombo’s well-known open market. Anything from food to jewellery can be bought here. The western coast of Sri Lanka sees plenty of tourists because of the beaches. For history lovers there are many forts which one can admire.

• Indonesia

A growing number of tourists are now considering Bali as a tourist hot spot. Getting to Indonesia is affordable and accommodation is cheap as well. The blue-green seas take the visitor’s breath away. The beaches of Seminyak and Nusa Dua are terrific places to visit during your stay here. Water sports lovers also have a whale of a time here. Many Indians love visiting temples which showcase a lot of Hindu culture.

• Maldives

In recent times, Maldives has become a popular honeymoon destination. Considering its turquoise waters, white sand beaches and luxury hotels, this is not surprising. . It’s mesmeric ocean and spas are where one can get unwind and forget about day to day life. For those who like water sports it’s fairly popular here. Male, the capital of Maldives is frequented. Adventure sports enthusiasts find that scuba diving is a very popular activity here.

• Nepal

If you like the cool climate consider planning a trip to Nepal. This is also the cheapest of all the destinations. The snow-clad mountains make it ideal for photography enthusiasts looking for a new muse. Trekking enthusiasts find the mountains very appealing. Base yourself in Kathmandu while you explore the rest of the country. The Pashupatinath Temple and the Durbar Square are big attractions here.
